Our trip to Mimi and Papa's house

Ainsley and Momma took a trip to Oklahoma last week while Daddy stayed in Arkansas so he could work. We stayed for 4.5 days and saw lots of family! On the 4th, we took Ainsley to Wintersmith Park in Ada. She rode the carousel with Mimi, road the "Choo-choo" all around the park, ate a snow cone, and played on the swing for about 45 minutes! Needless to say, we had a hard time keeping her awake on the 5 minute drive back home. She went straight down for her nap with no lunch!

That afternoon we had a couple of hours to swim. Ainsley loved her floaties, but they gave her a little too much confidence. She thought she could do just about anything! After swimming, we went to Stratford to a cook-out with family. Ainsley made a new little friend, Lanie, who she learned a lot of ballet moves from. She saw lots of cows, played in the back of pickups, hugged all over Tuff (the Yorkie), and drank out of any cup sitting around. She had so much fun playing with my cousins old toys that she cried when we had to leave! When we got back into Ada, Papa parked up on the hill from the park so we could get a good view of the fireworks. We let Ainsley stand on the console and stick her head out the sunroof. We had to wait about 15 minutes before the BIG stuff started, so Ainsley kept asking us "See em, Mimi?", "See em, Bapa?", "See em, Momma?" When the first firework went off, she squealed so loud and said "BOOM!" From that point on, she called all of the fireworks "cookies" and pretended like she was eating them just like Cookie Monster!

We went up to Noble to see Grandma Zel Thursday morning where she had homemade biscuits and sausage gravy waiting for us! Ainsley didn't want to eat, instead she played with this latex ribbon thing (an old exercise band) the entire time! She danced with it, tied it on her babies, pulled it in the wagon, etc. We all took a good, long nap at Grandma's before heading back to Ada. We, of course, had to stop at Papa's farm on the way back to see the cows one more time and "Meow" at the kitty! Once in Ada, we stopped by Grandma Sue and Grandpa Bud's house. Ainsley played with these Raggedy-Ann dolls and a stuffed kitty. She would sit on this little stool and rock all of her babies at once! She also played with the Tunyville Choo-Choo train that I got for Christmas when I was Ainsley's age! We lit some little fireworks when we got home (glow worms, crackling balls, sparklers, etc.) Ainsley loved the sparklers and I even let her hold them by herself!

Friday morning provided some great sun for another couple of hours around the pool! Ainsley loves the "Row, row, row your boat" song, so she thought it was great fun to get in the raft and "row" it. At one point, Mimi, Momma, and Ainsley were all rowing the raft.....on concrete! Mommy had lunch with some friends this day, so Ainsley took a long nap for Mimi. We had another few minutes to swim that afternoon before heading over to Grandpa and Grandma Bean's house.

Ainsley's cousin, Blaine, was there and taught Ainsley how to play frisbees. But Ainsley decided they were more fun to chew on....she actually broke one from biting it! Ainsley also spilled Grandma's "No Spill" bubbles! Ha! Nothing's safe with a 2-year-old around! After going out to eat, Ainsley and Blaine showed off their break-dancing techniques where Ainsley learned how to say "your turn!"

I think the earliest Ainsley was in bed the whole week was 9:30pm. She played hard and napped long, but she had a great time! We were on the road Saturday morning at 8:30am and made it back just before nap time. Ainsley gave Daddy and Benji one of the biggest hugs ever! She was SO excited to be back home and immediately took us to her toy room to dance. (Her favorite pastime) We had a great time in Oklahoma and I'm so glad we have this time every year to visit with friends and family....and Papa's pool always helps!
